Doctor Who’s Nicola Bryant vs Elvis vs Zombies!
Doctor Who’s Peri, Nicola Bryant, is heading back to the world of horror with zombie comedy Elvis vs Zombies
Nicola Bryant has faced Daleks, Cybermen, and Sontarans in her time as Peri in Doctor Who. Soon she’ll be facing some new classic monsters as she joins the cast of Elvis vs Zombies. Though as the title suggests, this might be one horror movie that doesn’t take itself entirely seriously…
Six Elvis impersonators and their mentally unstable driver Duncan are heading towards the annual Elvis convention in Folkestone, that is until a crashed military cargo plane releases its top secret cargo on a field of flatulent cows, a terrible catalyst occurs that gives birth to zombies and puts the Elvises’ plans for stardom on the back burner.
Nicola Bryant plays a character called Mary Banks. Mary is presumably related to Trevor Banks, played by Graham Cole. Cole has a Doctor Who connection of his own, being the man inside the Melkur suit in The Keeper of Traken – making him one of the few actors to actually play a TARDIS. Cole later became more famous as PC Tony Stamp, one of the longest running characters on ITV police show The Bill.
Also in the cast of Elvis vs Zombies is Mark Benton, who was Clive in Rose, the first episode of Doctor Who’s revival in 2005.
