EastEnders fans go wild as Jacqueline Jossa and Natalie Cassidy enjoy reunion on night out

Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa reunited with her soap co-star Natalie Cassidy during a night out and shared a photo of the two of them together to her Instagram

Jacqueline Jossa has shared a picture with her former co-star Natalie Cassidy after the pair bumped into each other during a night out.

Taking to her Instagram, the EastEnders actress, 30, shared a sweet snap with Natalie, 40, as they both grinned for the camera.

Referencing Natalie’s character, Sonia Fowler, on the BBC soap, Jacqueline penned: “Bumped into cousin Sonia @natcass1 Adore you!” and added a white heart emoji.

Natalie took to the comments to share her own affection for Jacqueline as she wrote “love you” with a red heart emoji.

EastEnders fans shared their delight at the reunion as one person wrote: “Lovely to see you two together” with two heart eye emojis.

The pair played cousins Sonia Fowler and Lauren Branning

A third penned: “Aww love this [blue heart emoji].”

Soap fans will remember that Jacqueline played Lauren Branning during her seven years on the soap before she left in 2018.

Jacqueline returned to the soap briefly last year when her character Lauren attended the funeral of Dot Cotton. Legendary actress June Brown, who played Dot, died in April 2022 at the age of 95.

Ahead of her character’s return, Jacqueline said: “Coming back to EastEnders for Dot’s funeral was a no-brainer and it was a real honour to be invited back.

“I had a lot of fun but, of course, it was bittersweet. It was amazing to be back, but hard to be filming this storyline.”

She added: “June is a legend and I miss her very much.”

Jacqueline spoke to us exclusively earlier this year about her body image and said that it upsets her to think back on how she viewed her body in her teen years.

Natalie responded to the post, writing: "Love you"

“I used to think I was fat at 17, 18 – how sad and miserable is that?

“That’s why I can’t be bothered to moan now. Because I know in the future when I’m grey and old, I’ll be like, ‘I was so beautiful then why did I moan and call myself fat every day?’”

She said she wanted to change how she talks about herself as she fears her daughters mimicking negativity about their bodies.

“I can’t allow it. I’ve really tried to change the language so it doesn’t affect my kids,” she said.

Jacqueline, who was recently on holiday with her family, shares her two daughters, eight year old Ella and Mia, five, with husband Dan Osbourne.

During the holiday, she was seen sporting a colorfully patterned bikini and exuding body confidence.

A source told OK!: “Jac and Dan had a wicked time in Spain. And a lot of that was down to Jac’s confidence.
