Gina Knight is having “boyfriend” problems in EastEnders and fans suspect the identity of her mystery man could tear her family apart.
The Knight family returned to Walford on Monday after taking a trip to Spain in the hopes of finding a buyer for their pub in Marbella. After sharing the exciting news of a potential deal with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), George Knight (Colin Salmon) revealed Gina (Francesca Henry) had “boyfriend” troubles.
EastEnders fans have taken to Twitter to share their theories on the identity of Gina’s ‘bad boy’ boyfriend and it could be none other than rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), who assaulted Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). One tweeted: “My theory is Cindy kills Deano as she discovers what Deano did to Linda, as it emerges he’s Gina’s ex-boyfriend from Spain.”
Another agreed: “Gina has an ex boyfriend in Spain? Interesting how it keeps being brought up. With everyone theorising he could be Dean,” and a third said: “That would be a good twist. Dean Wicks and Gina Knight. Could her ex make his way to Walford?” While another fan replied: “Omg imagine the scenes.”
Shirley Carter’s (Linda Henry) son hasn’t been seen on screen since 2016 after evading justice for raping Linda and attempting to sexually assault Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons). However, Linda was left distraught when she spotted a photo that proved Shirley was spending time with Dean and her daughter Carly (Kellie Shirley) following the death of Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).

EastEnders fans have become convinced Dean could be the dead body spotted on the floor of the Queen Vic in the Christmas Day flash forward scene. Linda’s discovery about Shirley with her son came just before the glimpse into the future.In the flash forward sequence, Linda is seen with a split lip and is the last of the six women to arrive at the bar, looking the most frightened when she spots the man on the floor. Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) make up the remaining Walford women in the pub.
