Last Saturday, the whole world was eagerly awaiting Kate Middleton’s reappearance after being away from the public eye for six months due to the cancer she is battling. The Princess of Wales was seen at the Trooping the Colour military parade in London. Accompanied at all times by her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis of Wales, she appeared smiling and happy to once again feel the warmth of the public. Now, it has come to light what the couple’s eldest son said to his mother, all thanks to a professional lip reader.

It was last Friday when Kate announced her partial return to public life and the “good progress” in her health, although she did specify that she is still not “out of danger”. This reappearance was the first for the Princess of Wales after the last family event she attended: the Christmas mass in Sandringham. Shortly after, she announced a “successful abdominal surgery”, and, after two months of speculation, she revealed in March that she was receiving “preventive chemotherapy.”

Middleton didn’t want to miss an event that, alongside the state opening of the British Parliament, is the grandest ceremonial event in the Windsor calendar. Yesterday marked the official birthday of the British monarch, even though Charles III was actually born on November 14th. The choice of June for this celebration is tied to an ancient tradition that seeks the best weather in London for such a special day. However, this Saturday, rain fell in the British capital.

Great moments
The conversations of the Royal Family during the ‘Trooping the Colour’

All eyes were on Kate as she arrived at the parade in a carriage with her three children: George (10), Charlotte (9), and youngest Louis (6). This meant that the little ones didn’t have to ride alone in the carriage, without an adult, as Prince William of the United Kingdom participated on horseback in the parade. It was during this journey that cameras caught the eldest telling something to his mother. Words that have now been deciphered by lip reader Juliet Sullivan. “They all seem very happy,” the little one said to his mother.

Kate was also caught watching the celebrations from a Buckingham Palace window, alongside her children. There, Prince Louis could be seen playing with a curtain cord. “Do you know how to do this, Mom?” the little one said to Kate. In addition, the lip-reading specialist explained that the king seemed happy about yesterday’s events, and would have said to Queen Camilla: “Look at this! Wonderful! So colorful…”. Undoubtedly, it was a great day for the British royal family.
