Shocking Revelations: Queen Camilla’s Son Exposes ‘Appalling’ Royal Treatment of Harry and William!
Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has confessed that he doesn’t envy his royal stepbrothers, Prince William and Prince Harry, after experiencing his own troubling encounters with the paparazzi. Recalling a particularly distressing incident at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999 when he was accused of drug-taking, the now 49 year old food critic remembers being chastised by King Charles amid the media frenzy.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Parker Bowles described the relentless pursuit by photographers: “It was the very height of the tabloid era. I remember being chased at 100mph by paps trying to get a shot. My mother being screamed at to try to get a reaction. Pushing, jostling. It was horrific, and you are protective of your mother.”
He reflected on how the constant presence of paparazzi became a bizarre norm as he said: “You didn’t think of it in any other way… it was barbaric.” Despite his own experiences, he avoids meddling in the affairs of the Princes, but he expressed deep empathy for their plight, reports Scottish Daily Express.
“I learned a long time ago not to put my fat fingers into the world of William and Harry. But it was appalling what they went through. I’ve had a billionth of what they’ve had to go through but hell, I sympathise,” he shared.
Parker Bowles also revealed for the first time he’ll be joining King Charles and Queen Camilla for Christmas at Sandringham. After years of spending the festive day with his ex-wife and their children, he’s decided to switch things up following a tough couple of years for the royal couple.
He shared with The Telegraph that for the last 15 year’s he’s been at his ex-wife’s house for Christmas, where he’s lounged around in comfy clothes, gone to the pub while dinner is cooking and tried to convince his children to watch The Wild Geese. Admitting this year will be a “bit different”, Parker Bowles said he doesn’t know much about the royal festivities, only that there’s “turkey and sprouts and church. And I have to bring a suit and a dinner jacket.”
He explained his decision and noted that his mum told him, ‘I’d love you to come; I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time…’ Reflecting on recent challenges, he added that it’s been “hell of a two years for them” and explained that the older you get, the more “conscious you become of mortality”, particularly following King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.
