Kate Middleton’s ‘blunt response’ after split from Prince William

William and Kate share three children and tied the knot in 2011 in an epic wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
The Prince and Princess of Wales seem to be very content. However, some might not know that they split for two months during their university days. Well, this is what Princess Kate allegedly said about the breakup at the time.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s split
During the several weeks that Kate and William were apart, Kate alongside sister Pippa Middleton, attended the launch of historian Simon Sebag Montefiore’s book, Young Stalin.
At the 2007 event, Kate spoke to the Mail‘s Richard Eden and the late Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.
Tara was said to be close pals with William and Harry at the time, so asked Kate how she was fairing in wake of her split with the young prince.
She was a tough cookie who wasn’t going to be inveigled into saying something she didn’t want to say by anyone.
It was here that Kate allegedly replied: “Fine.”
Tara attempted to push further, leading Kate’s blunt insistence of: “Really, it’s fine.”

Kate Middleton dodged questioning over split from William
“She made clear with her body language that she didn’t wish to discuss the subject, and the conversation moved swiftly on to happier and less fraught matters,” Richard recalled. “[That] first encounter with her taught me that she was a tough cookie who wasn’t going to be inveigled into saying something she didn’t want to say by anyone—not even a close friend of the royals.”
It seemed the now couple’s actions in wake of their brief separation were very different.
Royal biographer Robert Jobson previously penned: “[William] celebrated their breakup with an alcohol-fuelled night at the Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair with his close pals. ‘I’m free!’ he shouted as he slipped into a drunken version of the robot dance.
“He then told his friends that they should all ‘drink the menu’, which they more or less ended up doing.”
Elsewhere, it seems Kate focused on her family life.
Prince William and Princess Kate’s reconciliation
“Carole Middleton acted swiftly, taking her heartbroken daughter for a break in Dublin – a welcome respite from media scrutiny,” Jobson wrote.
However it was later alleged that Kate flourished into a more social butterfly, with William spending most of their breakup “holed up in his barracks”.
Fortunately, the couple went on to reconcile at Sam Waley-Cohen’s fancy dress party, which he named ‘Freakin’ Naughty’, in June.
Just a month later, they publicly confirmed their rekindled romance when Kate attended a tribute concert for William’s late mother Princess Diana.
Of course, they have gone from strength to strength ever since.
