Buckingham Palace sources have shed light on the extent of the divide between Queen Camilla and Prince Harry. The prince famously described his stepmother as “dangerous” in his memoir ‘Spare’, claiming that Camilla sacrificed him on her “personal PR altar”. Now, sources who work within Buckingham Palacesay they decided to “almost never discuss” the prince nor his wife Meghan Markle.
Harry’s memoir was scathing in his remarks on his father’s wife, as he accused her of playing “the long game, a campaign aimed at marriage and eventually the Crown.”

He also alleged that his brother Prince William had asked their father not to marry Camilla, despite their longstanding relationship stretching back years.
But according to people in the know, the Queen is nonplussed about the criticism or Harry’s opinion of her.
A royal source told Newsweek: “Far more thought and hiatus is stirred up in the media around what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are or aren’t doing on any given day than was ever a fixation at the Palace.”
They added that the topic is “almost never discussed” by the Queen.
The Queen however is believed to be a big factor in the lack of meeting between Harry and his father King Charles.

The prince’s relationship with his father has been turbulent in recent years, with King Charles understood to have been left disappointed following Harry’s decision to make a series of claims against the Royal Family since he and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in early 2020.
Last year, Harry made multiple trips back to the UK but did not meet with his father.
Sources suggest Harry has been keen to meet with his father when he has been in the country, but those around him, including his wife Queen Camilla, have advised him not to as he continues his recovery from cancer.
Queen Camilla is also believed to be concerned as to how any potential meeting could affect Prince William who has his own sources of frustration with his brother’s choices in recent years.
A source said: “She has been the principal voice urging Charles to slow down and take things easy.
“The last thing she wants him to do is to get stressed out over a meeting with Harry.”
While the Sussexes remain on the outside when it comes to the Royal Family, they have built a wealth of friendships and connections in the US.
