Fans of Meghan Markle have taken to X to share their anger after Prince William has teamed up with one of his sister-in-law’s biggest critics, Jeremy Clarkson.
William is set to star in an episode of Clarkson’s Farm after meeting one of the stars, Kaleb Cooper, on Wednesday. Speaking to Kaleb, William admitted that his son Prince George, 11, is a huge fan of the hit TV show.
Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson previously sparked fury after writing that he wanted Meghan to “parade naked through the streets of Britain” while “people chant” in a furious opinion piece in 2022. His comments sparked uproar with readers receiving in excess of 20,000 complaints to press regulator Ipso. The piece became theeir most complained-about article.
The piece was later removed from The Sun’s website – with the publication issuing an apology to the Duchess of Sussex, 43, over nature of the piece. Clarkson later apologised and released a statement saying he was “horrified” after “causing so much hurt”.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex criticised the Sun’s apology as “nothing more than a PR stunt”. A spokesperson for the couple accused the Sun of profiting off and exploiting “hate, violence and misogyny”. “A true apology would be a shift in their coverage and ethical standards for all,” they said.
After learning that William had visited Jeremy’s Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire – and that he will appear on an episode – Sussex fans expressed their anger over the Prince of Wales’s latest venture.
One fan took to X, writing: “Shame on Prince William [for] doing a show with Jeremy Clarkson after [the] nasty and vile things he said about his brother’s wife…”

Also taking to X, another Sussex fan commented: “Does William not know or does he just not care that Jeremy Clarkson called for Meghan to be sexually assaulted?”
A fourth added: “…By doing so, William is indirectly endorsing Clarkson’s vile remarks. Clarkson did not even apologise to Meghan directly.” Another fan simply wrote that the prospect of William appearing on the show is “gross and disgusting”.
Speaking to Kaleb, William said, “You’ve got George watching now. I said to him ‘What shall I say if I meet Kaleb?’
Telling him what George replied, he said: ‘Tell Kaleb to mind his language’.”
