Fans of the Royal Family have all been left saying the same thing after King Charles was admitted to hospital as he continues to recover from his cancer treatment. Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that the 76-year-old was admitted to the London Clinic and has been forced to cancel engagements.

He has since returned home to Clarence House but will no longer be visiting Birmingham today. It comes as the King continues to undergo weekly treatment afer being diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer last February.

A number of people have since taken to social media platform X to respond to the news. They all wished the King well in his recovery from the cancer treatment.

Michael Graham said: “Get well soon, King Charles.” Tom McGuire added: “Praying for our wonderful King Charles III. Get well soon God speed. I pray your hospital admission is a short one.”

Geoff White wrote: “Get well soon king Charles.” Mike agreed: “Get well soon your Majesty!!” Pedro Rocha commented: “A speedy recovery for his Majesty.”

Alicia Hayes said: “The side effects of cancer treatment brutal. Husband recovering. Up and down path. Takes a long while. Wishing His Majesty well.”

Jordan Baker wrote: “Best wishes to His Majesty”. People Unity replied: “Wishing the King a quick recovery!”

Buckingham Palace previously said in a statement: “Following scheduled and ongoing medical treatment for cancer this morning, the King experienced temporary side effects that required a short period of observation in hospital.

“His Majesty’s afternoon engagements were therefore postponed. His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary programme will also be rescheduled.

“His Majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”

The King is expected to return to his normal engagments next week. However, decisions may be taken to prioritise his continued recovery.

A royal source said the King is on good form at home, working on state papers and making calls from his study.
