Kensington Palace releases new update on Princess Kate as she makes powerful statement…
The Prince and Princess of Wales appear in the video released by Kensington Palace today.
Princess Kate has launched a new video series, where she revealed how she embraced “the healing power of nature” during her cancer treatment. She urged society to “reconnect to nature and celebrate a new dawn within our hearts” in the first of a series of films celebrating the seasons.
Narrating the three-minute video, Kate spoke of the role the natural world played during her cancer journey last year, with the future Queen understood to have walked and swum outdoors during her six months of chemotherapy.
“Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary,” she says. “The natural world’s capacity to inspire us, to nurture us and help us heal and grow is boundless and has been understood for generations.”

Kate continued: “Spring is a season of rebirth, of hope and new beginnings. From the dark days of winter, the outside world quietly awakens with new life, and there comes a sense of optimism, anticipation, and positive, hopeful change.
“Just as nature revives and renews so too can we. Let us reconnect to nature and celebrate a new dawn within our hearts.
“It is often from the smallest of seeds that the greatest change can happen, and in this ever-growing complex world, we need to hold on to what connects us all.”
The film’s release coincides with the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and features shots of Scotland, Battersea Park, Chelsea and other locations across the UK.
Shots from the Prince and Princess of Wales’s recent trip to the Isle of Mull in Scotland feature in the film, with loving images of the pair with their arms around each other.

These intimate scenes are understood to have been filmed on their 14th wedding anniversary, which coincided with their official visit to Mull last month.
Much of the film, captured by Will Warr, the filmmaker who produced the sweet family video released to signal the end of Kate’s cancer treatment, shows flowers, plants and trees in rural settings.
The new quarterly series called Mother Nature has been spearheaded by the Princess, who has become increasingly vocal about the power of spending time in nature.
In a message accompanying the film, Kate said: “The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience. It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other. C.”

Last week, it was revealed that a rose has been named after her and four weeks ago the Princess featured in a video with Chief Scout Dwayne Fields as they showcased the important role the outside world has on our health and wellbeing.
In March, Kate used her Mother’s Day message to celebrate Mother Nature, and the Summer, Autumn and Winter editions of the series will be released in due course.
