Teen Mom star, Jenelle Evans is finally opening up about her daughter, Ensley’s custody arrangement. Jenelle took her three children and left North Carolina for Las Vegas in an attempt to start a new life. Jenelle Evans Talks Daughter’s Custody Arrangement
When Jenelle Evans left David Eason in early 2024, she shared that he was not proactive in their daughter, Ensley’s life. He was not making an effort but he was sharing his rendezvous with different women. David has since found a new lady and is in a relationship but what about Ensley? Jenelle was brought back to Teen Mom: The Next Chapter and it showed her looking to move away from him and North Carolina. She was choosing between Florida where Briana DeJesus lives and Las Vegas where her close friend and manager, August Keen, lived.
Ultimately, she settled on Vegas and was ready to start a new life and a business which August said he’d help with. She still had to work out custody of Ensley with David even though he was not acting like a father. Fans have asked where Ensley has been and why they do not see her on social media. Now, Jenelle has answered this question and the answer is somewhat shocking. According to Us Weekly, Jenelle now has sole custody of her seven-year-old daughter.
This happened while Teen Mom was filming but was never shown so fans had no idea it even happened. Jenelle Evans had this to say:
“But, yes, I did get full custody of Ensley. It wasn’t shown on the season finale of [Teen Mom: The Next Chapter], but I have been awarded sole and full custody of Ensley and I’m so excited about that. Really happy about that.”
As to why she has kept Ensley away from social media, it has to do with other obligations and being extremely busy with life:
“[It’s] not really on purpose. I was still allowed to show her on social media. I just, I don’t know, [have] been spending more time with the boys because they have doctors’ appointments, teeth check-ups [and] stuff like that.”

The one thing about Ensley is that she likes to be filmed and on camera. Furthermore, Jenelle Evans shared she can show her on camera if she chooses:
“One thing about Ensley is she really likes to be on camera. I can tell she has the mind of a content creator, film editor [or a] pop star. She just wants to perform for people; that’s just what she wants to do and it’s really crazy to think about because, like, dang she really is like a mini-me.”
Now that Jenelle is away from David and in a new environment, followers have praised her and her growth. They are also happy that Ensley seems to be doing well:
