Tyler Baltierra Slams MTV Over Missed Opportunity
When Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell Baltierra were teenagers, they became pregnant but knew that they wanted to give their child a better life. Therefore, they opted for an open adoption for their daughter, Carly. The duo ended up on Teen Mom where cameras continued to document their life and struggles. It was very hard as they started to question the adoption and if it was the right decision. Though Carly was happy and got along with her adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa, they had a hole in their hearts.
Over time, Tyler and Cate tied the knot and welcomed three more daughters. Their girls met and got along really well. Unfortunately, Cate and Tyler were unable to see Carly for her fifteenth birthday this year. Furthermore, Carly’s parents blocked Catelynn so she went on a rampage. It has been a lot and fans are over the duo and their drama. Now, Tyler is bringing up something from the past that he feels he must address. He and Catelynn did a show called Reunited about adoption but MTV did not keep it on air very long.
Tyler Baltierra started tweeting about the show again, which aired in 2016. He believed that MTV “made a huge mistake” by not picking up the show. More so, he noted how hard he worked on the pilot and there was so much more he wanted to share with viewers. They had many adoption stories that fans would have really liked but why bring it up eight years after the fact? Is it because of what is happening with him, Catelynn, Brandon, Teresa, and Carly?
Not The Best
Those who did watch Reunited did share their thoughts and they were not positive. They did not think it was all that great. Moreover, some believed that Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell Baltierra do not have a real view of adoption after how they have been hurt in the Carly situation:
- The pilot episode was cringe factor x 1000. I think I’m the only viewer 😂
- Thank god it was not picked up! It only would have been another outlet for Cate and Ty to imply that Carly will ‘come home’ once she’s 18.
- They didn’t pick it up because it was terrible!
- Ok Tyler. You and Catelynn’s recent behavior ensured that no one will ever want you to represent adoption in any way, shape or form!
One follower noted how Tyler already has an off relationship with Brandon and Teresa so he might as well mess things up with MTV. It is unclear how and if this will affect his relationship with the network.
