Prince Harry made an 11-word dig at King Charles in his bombshell memoir Spare following his infamous appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show.

Prince Harry appeared to make a sly dig at King Charles when speaking about the decision to be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
The Duke of Sussex said that, unlike others hiding behind “palace sources”, he was “upfront” about what he wanted to say in regards to his time in the Firm.
Taking to his bombshell memoir Spare, which was releasd last January, Harry wrote: “I told them that I failed to see how speaking to Oprah was any different from what my family and their staff had done for decades – briefing the press on the sly, planting stories.
“And what about the endless books on which they’d co-operated, starting with Pa’s 1994 crypto-autobiography with Jonathan Dimbleby? Or Camilla’s collaborations with the editor Geordie Greig.
“The only difference was that Meg and I were upfront about it. We chose an interviewer who was above reproach, and we didn’t once hide behind phrases like ‘Palace sources’…”

In a sly dig to his father, Harry added: “We let people see the words coming out of our mouths.”
The couple’s interview with Oprah Winfrey came just one year after the couple’s exit from royal duties.

During the two-hour CBS special, the couple covered a range of topics, including racism, mental health, their relationship with the media and Royal Family dynamics.
Speaking of his relationship with his family, Harry shared that he loved Prince William “to bits” and wanted to heal his relationship with both him and his father.
Meghan also shared that she suffered with her mental health during her time in the Royal Family, even revealing that she had experienced suicidal thoughts.
