Royal Shock: Harry’s Words Lay Bare Tensions with Father King Charles!
The Duke of Sussex made a new appearance in his latest Netflix documentary where he discussed father-son rivalry in polo.
Prince Harry has opened up about the perils of pitting father against son in his and Meghan Markle’s new documentary about polo that’s dropped on Netflix on Tuesday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are executive producers of the five-episode series about the fast-paced sport, their fourth output with Netflix, which was shot primarily at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida.
Harry, who used to play polo both on the same team and against his father, the King, in Charles’s younger days, was also filmed questioning teammate and Argentine professional polo player Adolfo Cambiaso about competing against his 18-year-old son and rising star, Poroto.
Harry said to Cambiaso of Poroto: “You’ve created something special. He’s doing amazing things”, to which the polo player replied: “We play together a lot, you know. You can play with your kid, something that you love.”
The duke then asked: “Yeah, but what’s it like playing against your kid?” to which Cambiaso replied: “It’s difficult. And worse when you lose,” before Harry added: “You’re proud, but also angry.”
