Meghan Markle’s Secret Struggles with the Royal Family Exposed – Former Palace Insider Speaks Out!
A bombshell new book about the Royal Family claims that there was one aspect of life inside the monarchy that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, had a real problem with, and struggled to get used to

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they wanted to step back as full time working royals five years ago, it left Brits reeling in shock.
However, royal insiders knew for a while that all wasn’t well in Camp Sussex, a new bombshell book has claimed – with one aspect of life within the House of Windsor in particular something that Meghan really struggled to get used to.
The new book, seen by the Mirror – titled ‘Yes Ma’am’ by Tom Quinn – sees a former member of the royal household claim that after moving in with Harry in his home of Nottingham Cottage, Meghan “hated” having to let people know her movements, and the timings of her comings and goings.
The royal authour quotes a former Kensington Palace staffer as saying: “Meghan quite rightly hated the fact that when she was in Nottingham Cottage, she had to agree well in advance what time she might leave for an appointment or an event and she had to make sure she didn’t leave at the same time as, or clash in any way with, a more senior royal leaving the palace.”
Another source – who is said to have worked for the late Queen Elizabeth – told Quinn that the hierarchical nature of the Royal Family meant that Meghan, alongside the other royals, had to work to support the monarch as the centre of the institution, rather than shining her own light – something that the source claimed she struggled with. Outside the monarchy having your own path would be “fair enough” the source explained, but inside the House of Windsor things have to be “tightly controlled”.
“Meghan had plans for her life as a working royal that were not going to be part of a general strategy agreed with the staff – she just wanted to do her own thing, which is fair enough if you’re not a member of a tightly controlled institution, but it was never going to be acceptable that Meghan should outshine Princess Anne, Prince Charles [as he then was] and Elizabeth the Queen,” the source says.
“Quite rightly, Elizabeth always had to be the centre and focus of everything the royal family did and I don’t think Meghan understood why that had to make her do things she didn’t want to do. She didn’t understand that when you join the Royal Family, you don’t do as you please, you do as you’re told,” the source explained.
