Prince William has been handed a new royal title today from his father King Charles. The Prince of Wales, 42, and the monarch, 76, attended the Order of the Bath Service at Westminster Abbey together on Friday morning for the Order’s 300th anniversary year.
The prince has been given the title of the Great Master of the Order during the ceremony, which includes the oath taking and installation of five Knights. The King and The Prince of Wales also joined the procession of the Officers and Knights and Dame Grand Cross through the church before taking their seats in the Quire.
The father and son pair then later processed to the Henry VII, Lady Chapel for the Installation ceremonies.

It is the first time King Charles and Prince William have been seen together since VE Day celebrations earlier this month, with the father and son – along with other senior royals – putting on a united front following Prince Harry’s bombshell BBC interview on May 2.
It is believed the King and William are not on talking terms with Prince Harry at the moment.
