Prince Harry to ‘plan solo trip to UK to mend royal family rift’ without Meghan Markle

The Duke of Sussex, 40, is now reportedly aware that if he wants to build bridges with the royals, having Meghan involved is a “non-starter”.

Prince Harry set for UK return amid royal rift?
The report comes from Radar Online, who claim Harry didn’t expect the royal fallout to last this long.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit working royal life in 2020 before moving across the pond. However, their royal exit has seen their relationship with the royal family take a major hit. The rift deepened further in the wake of the release of Harry’s book, Spare.
Five years on, and with his father, King Charles, undergoing cancer treatment, Harry is reportedly keen to mend the rift.
“Harry didn’t expect the fallout to drag on this long. He’s beginning to see that including Meghan only complicates things with the royals, so he’s accepted – though not happily – that going it alone might be the only option for now,” a source told the publication.

Harry knows Meghan ‘only complicates things with the royals’
The insider then continued, claiming Harry is open to one-on-one conversations, mediation, or even video calls with members of the royal family. He is reportedly happy to do whatever they’re comfortable with as long as it opens lines of communication.
“He’s finally realised that the way he handled things before hasn’t brought any progress, and this marks a genuine shift in how he’s trying to move forward,” the source then said.
“It’s incredibly hard for him. He cares deeply for Meghan, but he can’t deny the reality of the situation anymore. If there’s any hope of reconnecting with his family, he knows he has to try without her. And he knows he will have to make a trip back to Britain without her with his tail between his legs and begging bowl in his hands. He wants back into the royal fold and is feeling totally lost in America – it’s Meghan’s home and world, not his,” they then added.
Royal Insider has contacted Prince Harry’s representatives for comment.

Harry and Meghan slammed
News of Harry’s reported solo trip to the UK comes after he and Meghan were slammed in a new podcast.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, royal expert Esther Okraku brutally branded the Sussexes the “world’s most boring and unprofitable couple“.
Speaking about Meghan’s and Harry’s Netflix deal, she said: “I think Netflix are going to have to swallow the fact that they’ve invested in the world’s most boring and unprofitable couple.
“Spotify realised quite early on and got out early,” she then added.
She also hit out at As Ever, denying that it was a “passion project” of Meghan’s.
“I really don’t think the public understands just how little is at stake for Meghan. Like, who cares if it ever fails? It wasn’t exactly a passion project,” she said.
